This fresh and slightly stormy cocktail made with dark rum and ginger is simple divine. The cocktail started the story in 1806 where John Gosling managed to come ashore in Bermuda after 91 tumultuous days at sea. Through trial and error; Bermudians quickly realized what a perfect marriage could be made between the dark rum and the fresh ginger. The Rum & Ginger cocktail navigated it’s way out of Bermuda Triangle on visiting ships that carried the recipe to places for and wide. The cocktail is also called Dark ‘n’ Stormy, after a British soldier was observing the cocktail and said ‘the colour of a cloud that only a fool or dead man would sail under’.
